The state of Texas shocked many across the country when it passed major restrictions on abortions. A new, Ann Arbor-based initiative aims to help victims and survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, education, and change.  As if the harm of the crime weren’t enough, many survivors are victimized again in going through the judicial process and with no adequate assurance of future safety.  As a survivor, that’s why Ashton Steele decided to start “Her World.”  Ashton, and fellow survivor Nicole Beverly, joined WEMU’s David Fair for a conversation on the issues, the work that lay ahead and on the 1st Annual Her World Gala and Fundraiser in Ann Arbor on September 14th.
