New High School Redistricting

By Andrew Cluley

Ann Arbor, MI – Despite remaining concerns of many families in northeast Ann Arbor, schools superintendent George Fornero is still recommending the new high school attendance boundaries originally presented in February.
Fornero gave his final recommendation to the board of education Wednesday night. The board is expected to vote on the redistricting plan June 14th.
Northeast Ann Arbor parents say they still have concerns about students using M-14 and the Barton Drive interchange to get to and from school. They also say attaining diversity at the new high school by dividing a large Asian population between the new school and Huron high school is inappropriate.
