The annual Hash Bash event will take place this Saturday in Ann Arbor, and it continues to help shape the political landscape on marijuana.
State representative Jeff Irwin from the 53rd district will be among some of the politicians in attendance. He's in favor of legalizing marijuana in Michigan and believes ballot initiatives discussed at the event could help the cause.
"milegalize.com, which is going to be gathering petitions at the Hash Bash, and that's probably the most important thing, I think, that's going on this year. There's an opportunity for citizens to get involved to sign a petition and to be a part of changing the laws."
The event will take place at the University of Michigan's Diag.
