Two local science-based learning centers for children and their families may soon be merging.
The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and the Leslie Science and Nature Center have been talking for years about combining as one united science, nature, and environmental learning center. It looks like they have finally come to an agreement on how to make that happen.
The boards of both organizations have announced they approved a "memorandum of understanding" as the first step in uniting as one organization in Washtenaw County.
Both the Hands-On Museum and Leslie Science Center plan to hold public forums to gather public input before making a final plan.
