Many Events Planned For Ann Arbor's 2018 Earth Day Festival
Earth Day will be observed on Sunday, April 22, and there's an annual festival taking place in Ann Arbor.
The Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival is put together each year by a coalition of local, environmental non-profits and agencies and held at the Leslie Science and Nature Center from noon until 4. There will be the popular "All Species Parade," where visitors are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite flora or fauna, beginning at 2:15.
There will be a number of Earth Day learning presentations, live animal demonstrations, live entertainment, as well as nature hikes and wind energy demonstrations. And in the true spirit of Earth Day, the Ann Arbor Festival will again be a zero waste event.
Parking can be limited, so those attending Ann Arbor's Earth Day Festival are encouraged to "go green and carpool"--take the bus, bike, or walk to the event.
