Best Of Ottawa Animation Festival Coming To Ypsilanti

The Ottawa International Film Festival is world renowned for being a showcase of the best works in the field of animation.  Two local filmmakers, Martin Thoburn and Donald Harrison, worked to organize a local stop on their annual road show that showcases award winning pieces from that festival.  It is their hope that Friday's showcase at the Riverside Arts Center (the event also serves as a fundraiser for the Center) in Ypsilanti will inspire young artists in our community and open up the possibility of showcasing more independent filmmakers.  WEMU's Patrick Campion sat down with Martin to chat about why they felt this was important and what you'll experience when you attend the event this Friday.
