This week on "Modern Aging," 89.1 WEMU’s Lisa Barry talks with Dr. Theresa Reid about feeding the need for purpose in your later years, as well as seeking wisdom and forgiveness in your later years of life.
Dr. Reid's Thoughts on Wisdom
Wisdom is something that has been studied by both Eastern and Western philosophers. It seems, above all, wisdom "takes work." It's important to know there is no correlation between age and wisdom. Wisdom primarily comes from "intention."
Dr. Reid's Thoughts on Forgiveness
Forgiveness can be a "gift to yourself." It all starts from looking at past experiences (i.e., what you've done, what has helped you change, etc.). Forgiveness can also take many directions. It can involve forgiving yourself before others, or vice versa.
