The University of Michigan has announced it is moving all of its spring and summer courses to online-only options.
U of M President Mark Schlissel announced the decision Monday.
He issued astatementciting Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order telling people to “Stay Safe and Stay Home,” as well as the university’s own ongoing efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic, among his reasons for the decision.
Other universities, including Eastern Michigan University, have also been adjusting their plans in light of the governor’s order.
EMU announced this week it would be canceling in-person classes through April 27. It had previously planned to resume them on April 1st.
