Ypsilanti, MI – Despite the elimination of Ypsilanti's recreation department, city officials say activities will continue at the city's senior center, Parkridge center, and freighthouse beyond the first of next month.
City recreation director Shannon Stumbo-Bellers says work continues with local organizations and businesses to provide recreation opportunities, and to create an Ypsilanti recreation fund to give residents and businesses a better tax break for donating funds to keep recreation programs operating in the city.
