More than 1,800 people came together for Sunday's Grillin' for Food Gatherers fundraiser.
The money generated from the event will be used to help the local non-profit organization combat food insecurity throughout Washtenaw County.
Food Gatherers President Eileen Spring says the money raised from yesterday's event will provide 35,000 meals and snacks between now and September.
