With the Michigan presidential primary election now in the rear view mirror, voters in Washtenaw County have another election just up the road.
Increasing a special education millage for the WashtenawIntermediate School District will be one of the proposals on the ballot.
Eastern Michigan University political science professor EdwardSidlow says the primary election could cause less people to vote in the May 3rd election. He believes some voters could think it's too close to the last election, so they simply will not vote. Sidlow added that 24-hour news cycles sometimes overwhelms voters as well.
For the May 3rd election, voters will also consider renewing a building and site sinking fund for the Chelsea School District.
