The City of Ypsilanti's non-motorized advisory committee has released information about some of its projects for next year.
Among those projects is completing bike lanes on Forest Avenue and extending the West Cross Street bike lane from Wallace Street to the city limit. Closing gaps in the Border-to-Border trail at Frog Island Parkand Grove Road are part of the plan.
Bob Krzewinski is the chair of the non-motorized advisory committee. He says pedestrian crossings will also be a priority to improve safety.
"The Huron Street Crossing by I-94--you have people crossing there all the time, and there's no real set pedestrian access to that right now."
The committee also plans to put up more road signage such as "Stop Here on Red."
