Fresh Start Clubhouse

The Fresh Start Clubhouse in Ann Arbor continues to offer mental health services even in the face of having to close their doors.  WEMU's Jorge Avellan tells us how they're continuing to aid their clients during the coronavirus pandemic.

Video conferences and phone calls are being used to serve the mental health needs of nearly 110 club members.  Summer Berman, director of Fresh Start, says this new setup comes with its own set of challenges.

"They might not have the knowledge or skill set or the fluency with technology to be able to help tap into the resources the way we're trying to make them available"

Summer is happy that, no matter the obstacles, they're still able to help their clients.
