Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will visit Michigan today for the first time since August.

Clinton is making a post-debate swing through battleground and near-battleground states.  Michigan has gone with the Democratic nominee in every presidential election for the past two dozen years.

But Republican nominee Donald Trump is making a play for upper Midwest industrial states, so Democrats are on guard.

Clinton suffered an embarrassing primary upset in March to Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who’s anti-free trade message paralleled Trump’s.

Clinton’s visit also comes one day before Michigan’s deadline to register to vote in the November election.
