Today's US Supreme court ruling was based in part on the case of a Michigan couple, April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse. Both nurses, they had gone to court hoping to formally adopt they children they are raising together. We spoke to them in Ann Arbor this afternoon when the decision was announced this morning.
