Last week's HIV Testing Day in Washtenaw County was a success, especially for its participants.

No new cases were discovered among the 25 people who received testing, but HIV remains a growing problem within the community.

Washtenaw County Public Health nurse practitioner Cathy Wilczynski says it is especially affecting younger adults.

Officials are still trying to determine why the number of cases of HIV is on the rise locally.
