Manchester Village Voters Approve Bridge Replacement

Main Street Bridge, over the River Raisin, to be replaced

The 10-year, 635-thousand dollar bond proposal won overwhelming support from Manchester Village voters.

The money to replace the aging Main Street Bridge will compliment a three-million dollar State Grant awarded the Village from the state Department of Transportation in November of 2013.

Shortly after the grant announcement, Manchester Village Council  approved over 178-thousand dollars for design work on a replacement.

Work on the new bridge is expected to begin in 2015.
