Voters have sent Incumbent Ann Arbor City Councilman Stephen Kunselman to defeat.

There will be change in part of the representation of Ann Arbor's 3rd Ward on City Council. Incumbent Stephen Kunselman lost the primary election on Tuesday.  Challenger Zachary Ackerman won race by 40 votes.  The IT  Supervisor from the University of Michigan held a victory party at Arbor Brewing Company where about 80 supporters celebrated for hours. Ackerman says voters want change at the council table.
The newcomer faces no challenger in the November General Election, thereby effectively winning a two year term on council.
