The Zero: 2016campaign began one year ago with the goal of helping all of Washtenaw County's homeless veterans off the streets by this January.

County officials say every veteran in the program has now been assisted and just 17 remain in the process of finding the right apartment. 143 homeless veterans have been helped so far this year. Officials say they’ll expand the program next year to help those who are considered "chronically homeless" in Washtenaw County.
