Buying a home for the first time can be a stressful proposition. But Washtenaw County residents can get an accelerated lesson in navigating the housing market during a workshop tonight.
MSU Extension educator Terry Clark-Jones says the process of buying a home is more complicated since the recession.
She says,
“We [discuss] mortgage products, the different types of repayment plans that are available, the predatory situation, [and] the difference between what a lender says you can afford and what you really can afford.”
The workshop begins tonight at 6 and is free for Washtenaw residents.
