The United Way of Washtenaw County is offering free tax preparations services to local residents through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Households earning $53,000 or less a year can receive full tax service by making appointments on Thursday and Saturday evenings from now until April 6th.  Trained volunteers will meet one-on-one with you.

If your household's income is $62, 000 or less, you qualify for free self-preparation through MyFreeTaxes.com.  That service offers tax coach assistance over the phone and online.
