If you don't have medical coverage and need it, this Sunday, January 31st, is the deadline to sign up through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Those who don't register by midnight will pay a fine of $695 for every person in their family. To help the public fill out the application, a free event will be held this Saturday at the United Way Office of Washtenaw County in Ann Arbor.
Krista Nordberg is the director for enrollment and advocacy for the Washtenaw Health Plan.
"It's walk-in. No appointments are necessary. So, we hope we get a large crowd for that event."
So far, nearly 13,000 people in Washtenaw County have signed up for the insurance.
