Washtenaw Community College

Washtenaw Community College is freezing tuition levels for some of its students.

The school's board of trustees have approved a plan to keep tuitionat its current level for in-district students through next year.

Richard Landau is the board's chairman.

"Our goal is always to make sure that tuition at Washtenaw is affordable. And we believe that by keeping rates flat for the 2016-17 academic year we are meeting that goal."

Landau says they're also freezing non-tuition fees at their current levels for all of the college's students.
