January 28th is World Privacy Day, a day to raise awareness about how we can control access to our private information. The University of Michigan is holding a day-long symposium showcasing privacy problems and offering solutions on how we can protect ourselves better.

Register today for the Privacy@Michigan 2020 Symposium & Research Showcase, Tuesday, January 28, 1–6 p.m., to celebrate International Data Privacy Day! Kathleen Kingsbury, editor of The New York Times Privacy Project, will give the keynote address. Additional privacy experts, to be announced in January, will participate in two privacy panel discussions. A privacy fair including a privacy clinic, where students help with general privacy questions, and display posters showcasing privacy research at the University of Michigan will be available throughout the afternoon.
