The Washtenaw County Health Department will offer free COVID-19 testing Saturday, September 26th in Ypsilanti.

The testing will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ypsilanti District Library’s Whittaker branch.  It’s available to anyone who wants to get tested, even if you’re not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.  Susan Cerniglia is a spokesperson for the health department and says, while registration is not required to get tested, it’s recommended.

Susan Cerniglia: It does help things go a little smoother. Folks can of course drive-up, walk-up, we ask that you don’t line up early because again, that tends to create a slowdown.

The test is performed using a nasal swab sample, and results will be ready in about three or four days.  For information on how to register to get tested, click here.
