Ypsilanti Police To Discuss Community Relations Monday

The YpsilantiPolice Department and the Black Lives Matter Joint Task Force meets tonightand officials want the public to attend.

The joint task force is an effort by Ypsilanti Police and elected officials to better the relationship between Ypsilanti residents and law enforcement officers.

Chief Tony DeGiusti has pushed  for increasing communication between the police department and city residents since the Black Lives Matter movement began. 

The department has also created an online survey about police/community relations that will be public until March. The meeting takes place tonight at 7 PM in the YpsilantiCity Council Chambers.
