The Ann Arbor Area Continues To React To The Mass Shootings In Orlando

Reaction and support following the shooting that left 50 people dead inside a nightclub in Orlando is coming in many different forms in our area.   

Dozens of colorful chalk messages of shock and grief were left at the University of Michigan Diag, and U-M president Dr. Mark Schlissel tweeted:

"We all share the pain of terrorism motivated by hate. Our condolences to victims, families & friends. #OrlandoStrong"

The University of Michigan Spectrum Center for LGBT support is offering drop-in stays for student and staff this coming Friday inside the Michigan Union.  

Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor delivered remarks at a Sunday night candlelight vigil in Ann Arbor saying, "We must have a renewed committment to live our lives with openness, pride and joy."
