When we think about the five senses - sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell - these experiences are different for each of us.

Michelle KrellKydd is a trained "nose" in fragrance and flavors and editor of the blog Glass Petal Smoke.

I spoke to her about an upcoming event she is hosting that focuses on the sometimes controversial aroma of patchouli.

Kydd is holding a "Smell & Tell" this Wednesday at the Downtown Ann Arbor District Library.
