Michigan is sending help to West Virginia in the aftermath of deadly flooding in West Virginia.
Volunteers from the Michigan region of the American Red Crossare already helping people affected by the flooding in West Virginia. With at least 24 deaths, closed roads, and flood damage, Red Cross workers are providing meals and supplies and support for 17 shelters for flood victims.
Red Cross regional chief executive officer Kimberly Burton says they have been mobilizing much-needed resources and are monitoring the situation with local and state officials making sure everyone gets the help they need.
The Red Cross says they need the public's support, and financial donations are is the quickest way to get people the help they need.
