Ypsilanti continues to sell city-owned vacant lots for $1,000 to help bring in tax revenue.

Out of the 25 lots that were listed, four have been sold and seven other ones are in the process of being purchased. Joe Meyers is the city's community development manager.  He says you don't have to be an Ypsilanti resident to purchase a lot that qualifies for an incentive.

"The neighborhood enterprise zone basically lowers your property taxes on any new house you build."

In addition to using the lot to build a house, you can also use it for gardening, but not for commercial use.
