International Women's Day March And Rally Planned On EMU Campus

A rally and march will be held this week on the Eastern Michigan University campus. It's part of International Women's Day.  

It is considered a day for worldwide reflections on the current state of women's rights and gender equality, International Women's Day has been observed as part of women's history month for the past ten years.

A demonstration and march will be held on Wednesday of this week on the EMU campus. The purpose is to call attention to issues from reproductive justice to labor rights and several other women and gender rights issues. 

Those participating in the Eastern event are planning to meet outside the Student Center near the fountain for a rally and march toWelch Hall.  People of all genders are welcome to participate.
