Washtenaw County’s absentee ballots are going through their final review this week.

County officials estimate voters should start getting them in the mail during the week of September 20th.

Ed Golembiewski, the county’s director of elections, says there are two ways to turn in an absentee ballot.

“The ballot can be mailed back if the voter would like to send it by mail.  And again, if they are going to return the absentee voter ballot by mail, we recommend they do it as quickly as possible after having received it,” says Golembiewski.

Golembiewski says it can also be returned to one of the absentee ballot drop boxes located within every municipality in the county.
