To help continue addressing the opioid crisis in Washtenaw County during COVID-19, an Ypsilanti community health group continues to offer Narcan.

Narcan, or Naloxone, is designed to help reverse an opioid overdose.  UNIFIED in Ypsilanti is distributing it Monday through Friday by appointment in the parking lot of its Ellsworth Road location.  Lemont Gore is the street outreach coordinator for UNIFIED.

"Last month I distributed, I believe 89 doses. And so, out of 89 doses, we had like 11 reverse."

Last year, 62 people died of an opioid-related overdose in our county.  Visit UNIFIED’s website for information on how to set up an appointment.
