Ypsilanti City Council discussed a concern about the number of coronavirus cases coming from the city and Ypsilanti Township at last night's meeting.
According to the county health department, 44% of Washtenaw County coronavirus cases have come from the city of Ypsilanti and Ypsilanti Township. Council member Steve Wilcoxen from the second ward says they are considering robocalls and other options to reach people who don’t have access to computers during the pandemic.
"Flyers is an interesting approach. Any kind of printed material. It could be flyers door-to-door."
Wilcoxen says social distancing will be used with any approach the city uses to remind residents to stay at home.
