Several local, elected government leaders, as well as several hundred Washtenaw County residents, plan to gather in an Ann Arbor park Saturday afternoon for a community forum on racism.

“Getting Real About Racism” was organized by several community groups, including “Survivors Speak.” Group founder and executive director Trische' Duckworth says they plan to touch on several important community issues, including a lack of affordable housing in Washtenaw County, education, and the criminal justice system.
She says in order to see your future and get there, you’ve got to know where you’ve been, and she says, to do that, we need to get clear about what the problem really is.
The forum is free and open to the public. It will be held in South Lillie Park in Ann Arbor from 2 until 6 PM.
