Cookie lovers can find a unique cookie variety at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market.  Called "Frick'n Good Cookies," they are named after the Frick family who went into business nearly a year ago making and selling cookies with a unique shape and flavor.

Lisa Barry talks with Mikayla Frick, who helped create the cookie company using her grandmother's secret recipe and technique.

Mikayla Frick recently graduated from college but was having a difficult time finding a job in the fashion industry (which was her major) at the start of the pandemic.  So. she started a cookie company based on the family name "Frick'n Good Cookies."

She and a few family members started baking and selling the cookies in May of 2020, and she says the company now has seven employees.

She describes the cookies as being close to a scone and says just one can be rather filling.  They come in several varieties, including classic chocolate chip, chocolate chip with a peanut butter filling, and oatmeal with butterscotch chips.
