City Of Ann Arbor Celebrating Earth Day Online

The City of Ann Arbor will host Earth Day activities on April 22nd, but it will be a virtual celebration this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Through Zoom, residents will be able to learn about the city’s new carbon neutrality plan that they can start implementing during the pandemic.  Those who participate will also learn about solar energy discount programs being offered by the city.  Missy Stults is the sustainability and innovations manager for the city.

"We’ve got the 2030 District, which is really going to focus on what our businesses can be doing and what they are doing around carbon neutrality. We have folks from Leslie Science and Nature Center who are going to be talking about a nature’s recycler. So great opportunity to bring kids to the table."

For a full schedule of activities, visit the city’s website.
