The Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor and Vicinity is inviting residents of other faiths to attend an open house and prayer service at the group’s mosque this Sunday. 891 WEMU's Amanda LeClaire reports.
Omar Mohammed is Outreach Program Director for the Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor. He says the community has stepped up after recent remarks from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“Ever since the recent rhetoric of the news and what have you, a lot of people of other faiths from our community in Ann Arbor have come to our mosque and our community center to show support.” :
The event begins at 3 PM on Sunday at the Ann Arbor Mosque on Plymouth Road. Pre-registration is requested.
