Are Americans Saving More Lately?

The latest government figures show the personal savings rate has increased. For most of 2007, the rate was barely above 0. For December 2008, it was about 5 percent. David Wessel, of The Wall Street Journal, talks with Linda Wertheimer about whether saving — and not spending money-- is hurting the economy.
