Graphica Harmolodica is a multimedia installation exploring composition, abstraction, synchronicity, and improvisation through original video and photographs of the Ornette Coleman Trio performing live in Harmolodic Studio, NYC, in 2003. The artist creates "visual improvisations" by introducing new graphic elements and remixing live to the audio of the jazz performance, essentially jamming with the musicians twenty years later. The installation is free and open to the public, and runs the duration of the festival. Opening reception including a live video performance on Tuesday, March 26th 4:30 pm.
