The University of Toledo's annual Jon Hendricks memorial concert is happening April 27th at 7:00pm in the recital hall of the Center for Performing Arts. Grammy nominated pianist, vocalist, and composer Peter Eldridge is this year's featured singer. He has five critically acclaimed albums: Fool No More, Stranger in Town, Decorum, Mad Heaven, and Disappearing Day, which was called "an out and out masterpiece," by allaboutjazz. Eldridge is also a founding member of internationally acclaimed vocal group the New York Voices. The event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation to the Art Tatum scholarship fund which supports minority students studying jazz at the university.
