Kitty Donohoe is no flash-in-the-pan songwriter. Born with an ear for melody, a love of language, and the soul of a storyteller she began 'making up' songs before she even started school. From her stunning Emmy winning 9/11 song 'There Are No Words' to her collection of Michigan songs written in 1987 (and still being sung and requested at shows!) she calls her music 'folky, Irishy, Canadianish', drawing from her heritage in the music she creates. Stylistically she ranges from the swingy "Make it Snow", to the dark "Kid with a Gun", to Celtic-inspired instrumentals, to the anthemic "Come on Girls" ~ and she even writes an occasional fun piece like "The Wordle Song."
