Lubana Al-Quntar – Vocalist
Born in Syria, Lubana Al-Quntar showed an unusual gift for singing challenging music at an early age. Today Lubana performs a wide range of repertoire within the Arab music canon, which includes music from the classical, contemporary, folk, and pop genres. Her expressive voice allows her to add luster and richness to the various singing styles.
Throughout her performance in Kalamazoo, Lubana will be joined by members of Bahar Ensemble, Kalamazoo College’s Bayati Ensemble, as well as the children’s group Orchestra Rouh.
