Ypsilanti First UMC Presents: Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings (P.O.R.K.) in concert
Phil Ogilvie’s Rhythm Kings, aka P.O.R.K., bring their take on hot jazz of the 1920s and 30s to the historic sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Ypsilanti as part of the church’s yearlong bicentennial celebration. Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Duke Ellington and other jazz legends are prominent in their repertoire, which is equally suited for listening and dancing. The event is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be taken.
