Governor Rick Snyder's 2014 Budget Overview

Michigan Public Radio Network

Governor Snyder sat down with Michigan Public Radio’s Rick Pluta to talk about his budget plan.

Governor Rick Snyder’s budget proposal offers a lot of investment following years of austerity. Schools, universities, and local governments are all in for a boost if this spending plan is adopted by the Legislature. Homeowners and renters who make less than 60 thousand dollars would also be in for a tax break. It would be paid out this year – as the governor seeks a second term.

The State of Michigan has published an overview of Governor Snyder's proposal at Michigan.gov.
