Willy Wilson

Willy Wilson is a Detroit DJ, music scenester, and lifelong student of the city’s restless musical spirit. A familiar face in Detroit’s clubs, record shops, and late-night corners, Wilson has built a reputation around an encyclopedic love of music and a talent for connecting the unexpected dots between records, scenes, and generations.

His DJ sets move freely across genres and eras, guided less by convention than by curiosity, instinct, and the energy of the room. Whether digging deep into Detroit’s rich musical history or championing overlooked sounds from further afield, Wilson approaches the turntables as both selector and storyteller.

More than just a DJ, Wilson is part of the connective tissue of Detroit’s music community—a passionate listener, scene observer, record obsessive, and enthusiastic participant in the culture that keeps the city’s musical underground alive.
