The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island has added its first new room in more than a decade.
The historic venue opened for the 2014 season late last week with the unveiling of the Musser Suite.
It's  a one-bedroom suite on the fourth floor that provides a view of the Mackinac Bridge and the Straits of Mackinac.
The suite is the first room to be added to the hotel since it opened its Millennium Wing in 2001. It is the Grand Hotel's only one-bedroom suite. It plans to add seven two-bedroom suites over the next three years.
The 386-room hotel is a National Historic Landmark that opened in 1887.
Its season runs from May through October.
