Snyder Vows To Help Flint In State Of The State Address

Governor Rick Snyder devoted most of his State of the State speech Tuesday night to the Flint water crisis. Rick Pluta has a report on address and the governor's plan. 

Governor Snyder says the Flint water crisis was a failure of government on every level.  And he says the state has a responsibility to act.  “To you, the people of Flint, I say tonight, as I have before, I am sorry and I will fix it,” he said.

The governor asked the Legislature to approve a 28 million dollar emergency appropriation for Flint and said a longer-term strategy to address water infrastructure throughout the state is under development.          

Snyder also promised to make all his e-mails related to the Flint water crisis public so people can get a better grasp on what went wrong.
