Wordle recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, and the five-letter puzzle remains part of the daily routine for millions of players. WEMU’s John Stockwell spoke with the game’s Ann Arbor-based editor, some devoted players in the WEMU newsroom and a writer who helps people solve the puzzle with a daily hint column. He takes a look at why Wordle is still going strong.

Wordle, the five-letter online word puzzle became a worldwide phenomenon as soon as it was released in 2021. Now published by the New York Times, Ann Arborite Tracy Bennett was named editor of the puzzle last November. Tracy joins "creative:impact" host Deb Polich, and they have a little fun talking about and playing the game.
