Ypsilanti, MI – Eastern Michigan University's Board of Regents has approved the contract agreement reached earlier this month between the school and its professors.
The two-year deal provides for three-and-a-quarter percent salary increases both years.
While not specifically included in the contract, interim EMU President Craig Willis says he's committed to filling 72 vacant faculty positions by next fall.
The agreement was reached on September 7th, several hours after the faculty went on strike, and just minutes before the start of fall classes.
